Former Doctor Paul McGann revealed that “The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot” is going to have a sequel. The spoof aired on BBC Red Button right after “The Day of the Doctor” and stars Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy. Paul McGann appears in a short cameo, and many people linked to Doctor Who (both authors and actors) can be found in the episode.

During his speech at the Cambridge Union Society, McGann announced that the project is already in a pre-production phase, but he hasn’t made any statements about the plot, the cast or the time of production. Moreover, the actor commented on the casting of Peter Capaldi as the twelfth Doctor, saying that he is very sorry that the showrunner hasn’t chosen a woman for the role. According to the eighth Doctor, Tilda Swinton and Diana Quick would have added something more to the character and to the show.
